Subject:Nustar Energy Selby, CA on fire

Good day

At about 1415hrs 15 Oct an explosion and fire was reported at the Nustar Energy Terminal in Selby, CA within the port area of Crockett, CA.  At this time there are no reports of injuries.  According to news reports two shore tanks are fully engulfed with black smoke billowing to the atmosphere.  Interstate 80 has been shut down in both directions.  A shelter in place order has been made.  Pinole Shoal Channel / Carquinez Strait is open to all transiting vessel traffic.  Emergency services states all personnel have evacuated the terminal.

Current weather in Selby as follows:  Sunny / High 67 degree F / low 47 degree F / Wind WSW 5mph / humidity 48% / dew point 47 pressure 30.03 in and dropping visibility 9 miles.

At this time it is not known if and how long cargo operations could be affected by the fire.
